You can request for prescription refills by calling us directly or emailing us for a request of the prescription refill.
Refill request may take up to 72 working hours to process, if you are due for medication review, you will have to see your doctor for review either online or in person.
Emergency prescription requests are not requests for mediation which have been ordered late. You should allow at least 72 working hours for routine refill request.
It is your responsibility to ensure that your refill request is ordered in plenty of time, at least 7 days in advance before your medication runs out.
If patient is an active patient, following up with doctor, medication requests are free of charge.
If patient is not an active patient and only needs a prescription refill, charges are 100AED.
If requested is repeated after expiry date of prescription a charge of 100AED applies for all patients
If you have been referred to our clinic for prescription only, Monarch Health Centers will be able to issue you a prescription refill, providing you provide recent medical report from your current doctor, a copy of your last prescription and there are no current risks.
You will also need to sign a release of information form.
We’ll try our best to process request withing 72 working hours, delays may occur, if it is your first encounter, getting you medical records, and the doctor may also wish to speak with you.
Our prescription admin has to check your medical reports and reason for medication request , then give it to the doctor for review. Between clinics, the doctor will double check the medication to ensure that it is appropriate for you. Once doctor writes the prescription, then our admin team will send out the prescription via email, prescription is ready for collection once filed within 72 hours from the pharmacy.
Delays may occur if your medication request is not on your repeat prescription or if your medication request is different from what your doctor has prescribed for you or if the doctor wished to change your medication.
To streamline prescription refill, we request a clear copy of your passport along with your emirates ID (for UAE residents)
The Doctor will not be able to file prescription without passport number if patient is not physically present in the clinic.
If passport copy is not provided, you will have to book an appointment and bring your Emirates ID
A charge of 100AED will be applicable for re-writing the same prescription after the expiry period
