Amal Ali, RN

Head Nurse; Clinic Manager

Meet Amal, our clinic manager who has successfully established a mental health service in Dubai Healthcare City. With over 10 years of experience as a paediatric nurse, Amal brings a wealth of expertise in both paediatrics and mental health to our clinic. 

In her role as clinic manager, Amal supports the leadership and management of the department with particular emphasis on quality and clinical standards. She has continuing clinical responsibility for managing the department, which includes delegating, and supervising all grades of staff and being visible and approachable for patients, staff, and visitors.

Amal's passion for delivering exceptional care to children and families is evident in her work. She is an educator, team leader, and has experience as a mentorship link nurse in the UK and a child protection link nurse in Dubai, where she was in charge of delivering child protection education. Currently, Amal is part of the team delivering trauma and safe interviewing training.

In addition to her clinical and managerial roles, Amal also writes policies and has participated as a speaker in conferences. Outside of work, Amal volunteers with Operation Smile, a non-profit medical service organization that provides cleft lip and cleft palate repair surgeries to children worldwide.  

I support clients with:

 As a nurse at Monarch, I provide a wide range of support to patients, including:

  • Physical Care: Monitor vital signs, provide wound care.
  • Emotional Support: I offer emotional support to patients and their families, helping them cope with the stress and anxiety that can come with illness or injury. I listen to their concerns, offer reassurance, and provide a comforting presence.
  • Education: I educate patients about their condition, treatment options, and how to manage their symptoms and medication. I also provide guidance on lifestyle changes, such as diet and exercise, to promote health and wellness.
  • Advocacy: I advocate for the patients, ensuring that they receive the care and resources they need. I communicate with other healthcare professionals on their behalf and help them navigate the healthcare system.
  • Comfort: I provide comfort to patients, both physically and emotionally. I offer a kind and compassionate presence, making them feel valued and cared for during their time of need.
  • Overall, as a nurse, I play a critical role in providing holistic care to our patients, addressing their physical, emotional, and psychological needs to promote healing and well-being.

Qualifications and Membership:

  • Postgraduate, Nursing Assessment and Stabilisation of the Acutely Ill
    Child. London South Bank University 
  • Postgraduate, Mentorship course, University of Hertfordshire 
  • Bachelor’s degree, Maternal/Child Health and Neonatal Nurse/
    Nursing, City, University of London 

Certifications:

  • Paediatric ED Nurse 
  • Paediatric Advanced Life support 
  • Safeguarding Children and Young People Level 3
