About

Najah is an Australian trained Art Psychotherapist and a registered member of the professional association for Creative Arts therapists in Australia, New Zealand and Asia (ANZACATA). She graduated with a master’s degree in art psychotherapy from La Trobe University, Melbourne.

Najah has experience working in individual, dyadic and group therapy in clinical, educational and community settings. She has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in various areas such as schools, psychiatric units, refugee services, and community centers in Australia. She has worked and advocated in private and public mental health sectors in Australia and the UAE. She is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of MENATA (Middle East and North Africa Trauma Alliance) and works closely to bridge gaps between community and clinical care to better health outcomes regionally.

Najah follows an eclectic and person-centered approach that is collaborative and trauma responsive. She works with a range of emotional, behavioural, relational challenges and psychiatric disorders. She is also dedicated to understanding and supporting subjective cultural experience and values when working with her clients.

Najah works with children, adolescents and adults. She provides in person and online sessions for individuals, couples and families. She also provides professional supervision for mental health clinicians.
