Tara Connolly

I completed my Occupational Therapy studies at York St John University in York, England. I began my Occupational Therapy career in 2017, working in forensic mental health services, in one of just three high security hospitals in the UK. This role afforded me three years of invaluable experience supporting some of the most complex mental health needs in the country. I supported individuals with a range of mental health needs including psychosis, schizophrenia, anxiety and depression, with many patients experiencing co-occurring conditions.

During my time there, I engaged in further education and completed my Postgraduate Diploma in Sensory Integration. I acted as the Lead Occupational Therapist in a Special Educational Needs school for children and young people aged 3-19. All students had a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder, and many students experienced co-occurring neurodivergent conditions, mental health conditions and trauma and attachment needs.

I am so pleased to join the team at Monarch Health Centers and contribute to the team's mission of supporting physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health using an integrated transdisciplinary approach.
